We want to be upfront with you about some changes coming to our return process at Shauwney's Skate Palace.
Recently, we have been dealing with significant delays through USPS when packages are sent back to our facility. Some returns are taking much longer than expected, and we have had several insured packages go missing or arrive damaged despite coverage. These issues, combined with steadily rising shipping costs, have put real pressure on our operations.
Effective immediately, we will be implementing a flat $20 fee for all returns. This fee supports the switch to UPS for return labels and ensures every package is properly insured. Insurance protects your order from damage, theft, loss, and other issues during transit. It also protects us as a small business from absorbing losses that could impact our ability to keep serving you.
We know fees can be frustrating. We did not make this decision lightly. Our goal has always been to provide quality skates, gear, and service while keeping things fair for everyone. These changes help us maintain that commitment without compromising on security or reliability.
