Hey all, we've got an important update about how pre-orders work here at Shauwney's Skate Palace, please read before placing your next order.
As many of you know, we love being able to special order the gear you need. But between unpredictable supplier changes and constant inventory fluctuations, the current way of doing pre-orders has gotten a little rocky behind the scenes. Some of our suppliers don't give us access to their catalogs or real time inventory, which makes it much harder for us to process and complete pre-orders for certain products without a lot of back and forth guessing.
So here's the new system:
Most pre-orders will now go through a request form. When you submit the form, we reach out directly to our suppliers to confirm that your item is actually available to order. Once we get that confirmation, we'll send you an invoice so you can place your order with total confidence. No more ordering something only to find out weeks later it's out of stock. This streamlined process keeps things transparent and saves everyone the headache. Look for the pink request button on the right hand side of the product screen!
The one exception: Edea products and skates can still be pre-ordered as normal! We have much better access to Edea's immediate inventory, so you can count on availability and a smooth ordering experience, just like always.
And because communication is everything to us: if an item turns out to be unavailable, you'll be notified promptly. We won't leave you hanging or wondering.
