Rollin' with the Community: Shauwney's Skate Palace at the Baltimore Museum of Industry!

What a day! On Saturday, August 30th, the Shauwney's Skate Palace crew packed up our truck with skates, accessories, and a whole lot of good vibes and rolled out to the Baltimore Museum of Industry's annual Farmer's Market and Skate Day. And let us tell you, it was a 10/10 experience!

This was our second time joining the fun, and we had an incredible time. We met so many new faces, and it was awesome to see that a lot of you were already following us on social media or had been referred by a friend. A huge shoutout to our community for spreading the word! We had a blast chatting, answering your questions about everything from new setups to proper skate maintenance, and sharing plenty of laughs.

A Community United by Wheels

The energy at the event was off the charts. The air was filled with the delicious smells of fresh food, baked goods, and produce from a wide variety of vendors. We felt so welcomed by our friends in the skate community who stopped by to hang out, including our fellow vendors and small businesses like Chocolate City Skate Club, Vu Skate Shop, Two-Tias Skate, Bmore SK8, 1Skate Apparel, and Skatepark Baltimore. It was a true reunion of the local skate scene! Seeing all the vibrant smiles, receiving warm hugs, and having great conversations made us feel incredibly loved.

We sold a handful of awesome skate accessories and were so happy to see so many people excited to upgrade their gear. We also collected donations for our Krispy Kreme fundraiser, which is still active on our non-profit website, rollerskatingislife.org. Every bit of support helps us continue our mission!

We made some amazing new memories and are so thrilled to see the community growing. We're even more excited to hear that many of you are already making plans to come visit our shop for the full Shauwney's Skate Palace experience.

A massive thank you and a huge shoutout to Alexis "The Jamdalorian" for inviting us back to this fantastic event. We truly appreciate you and all you do for the community!
